Is there a better way to celebrate Native Plant Appreciation Week than Palouse Prairie restoration? Today, a wonderful group of volunteers from the Palouse - Great Old Broads for Wilderness joined us in putting out native grass and wildflower seed onto bare soil caused by pocket gophers. The grass widows (Olysynium douglasii var. inflatum), yellow bells (Fritillaria pudica), and elk sedge (Carex geyeri) were all in glorious bloom.
What a great day!
